A bridge between the
sacred and the everyday.

Anyone can publish a list of temples. The hard part is knowing which entries are real, who checked them, and when. That is the problem DharmSetu is organised around, and it shapes everything else — the data model, the permissions, the shape of the pages.

The rule is simple and it does not bend: verification before visibility. A temple, a pujari, or a request for help does not reach public search until someone has actually confirmed it. How that confirmation works is written down in the verification policy, including what each level of trust means and how to challenge one.

DharmSetu is being built in phases, and this phase is about content — getting the reference material right before opening the platform to registrations.

• A temple directory — histories, deities, timings and location, browsable by state, district, city, deity, and by the traditional circuits like the twelve Jyotirlinga and the Char Dham.
• A learning hub — stories, scripture and practice, written for children, for families, and for readers who want the longer version.
• A mantra library with word-by-word meaning, and a deity encyclopedia tracing the relationships between them.
• The Ramayana and Mahabharata as navigable family trees and timelines, in English and हिन्दी.

Temple registration, volunteer sign-up, pujari listings, bhandara coordination and welfare assistance are designed but not open. They involve real people asking for real help, and none of it should launch before the verification machinery behind it is trustworthy. Accounts are closed until then.

Reference material is assembled from public sources — Wikipedia and Wikisource among them, along with temple trusts and published scholarship — and each article carries its source and licence at the foot of the page. Where a claim is disputed or a date uncertain, we would rather say so than round it off.

We get things wrong. If you find an error, a mistranslation, or a temple listed in the wrong district, please tell us — corrections from people who know a place first-hand are the most valuable thing we receive.
