Kundli milan is traditional compatibility matching. The usual method is Ashtakoot — eight factors, scored out of 36 points:

A score of 18 or more is conventionally treated as acceptable, and higher is treated as better.
The important thing to notice is what goes in. Six of the eight koots are computed from the two Moons' nakshatras alone; Graha Maitri and Bhakoot come from the two Moon signs. So the entire 36-point score is a function of two numbers — the Moon's longitude in each chart. It uses nothing else: not the ascendant, not the seventh house, not the position of Venus or Mars, and nothing whatsoever about either person's character, circumstances, values or wishes.
Two consequences follow. First, thousands of unrelated people share any given pair of Moon nakshatras and would all score identically. Second, a low score is not information about a relationship; it is information about two numbers.
This site documents the method fully, because it is a real part of Indian tradition and people want to understand it. It does not present a score as a decision, and it will not publish a tool that returns a verdict on a couple.
